"A photographer went to a socialite party in New York.  As he entered the front door, the host said 'I love your
pictures - they're wonderful; you must have a fantastic camera.'  He said nothing until dinner was finished, then:
'That was a wonderful dinner; you must have a terrific Stove.'"  Sam Haskins

B&W photography was is my love in life.  When I found b&w photography in 1968, I was living in Rochester, NY, which many consider to be the home of b&w photography.  It was here that George Eastman made b&w photography affordable and accessible to everyone.  Now every boy could shoot b&w photographs and develop their own b&w photography in their own darkroom.  B&W photography was the mainstay of photography for many years, until color was able to replace b&w photography.

Why do I love b&w photography so very much?  I think itís because I grew up in a black-and-white world.
Television, movies and the news were all in black and white. My heroes were in black and white and even
the nation was segregated into black and white.  My images are an extension of the world in which I grew up.
