- I was driving through Nebraska in the dead of night, passing
through countless
- small towns with grain elevators as the center of attraction.
Somewhere north of
- Grand Island I drove past this low area where the fog had
settled and the moon
- illuminated it. I spent about an hour in the near zero
weather trying to get just
- the right shot. The exposures were necessarily long to
get enough light on the
- ground, but then the moon had movement and ruined the shot.
Finally I settled on
- a long exposure for the ground and a short one for the sky,
combining them in
- Photoshop to get the best of both shots.
