The End of the Pier - Newport Beach Pier, CA - 2006

I was standing at the end of the San Clemente pier, looking for photographic opportunities, when I saw my shadow on the water.  What was interesting about the shadow is how the light penetrated the water around the shadow.  I set up my camera and took hundreds of photos trying to record the light the way I saw it.  Of all of my images, this best represents what I saw. 

It's funny what goes on at the end of a pier, a lot of people come there to think and to talk.  The end of the pier is a serious place.
