The Golden Light Awards is an international competition which recognizes the work of the world's emerging photographers. It is the aim of this award program to support exceptional personal vision and encourage photographers to continue their exploration of the world around them. The Award includes a variety of opportunities for professional and semi-professional photographers, students, educators and amateurs to receive recognition and prizes, as well as tuition grants for Master Classes at The Workshops. The work selected by the Jury is chosen on the basis of exceptional personal vision, high level of craft and a demonstrated passion for imagemaking.
The Golden Light Awards is supported through the generous contribution of products and equipment from our sponsors. This Awards program is organized and presented by The Maine Photographic Workshops of Rockport, Maine - a creative center and college for the world's photographers and storytellers.
